the cinematography and performance were great but unfortunately, it's the pacing i find it sluggish and the story's felt a bit illogical because i don't really understand what is happening. this film was such a let down and i don't really see the high expectations from this film...sorry.
such a joyous, uplifting film and I can see why his film was basically about its commentary on how disturbing the beauty contest is by glamourise literal little girls and olive's not like them cos she's only normal one out of all the others girls who were covered in too much make up and wears skimpy outfits which it seemingly to be very uncomfortable and it's very wrong.
however, this film is wholesome and yes there are some depressing/sad parts…
