I don’t think this needed to be made. A middle-of-the-road, unimpressive blockbuster that only shines in fleeting moments of what seems like creative innovation but in reality is just the employment of standard filmmaking techniques that haven’t been used in the MCU. This film would feel right at home in the early years of the franchise. Not only because that’s when it would’ve held some sort of relevance, but because it plays like the type of unambitiously rote origin film that was prevalent in that era. Simply put, it’s the definition of passable.
