As we are getting closer and closer to the highly anticipated film of the entire year, "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice," I decided to spent my precious 2 hours and 20 minutes to re-visit the second rebirth of one of our favorite American symbols of justice, "Man of Steel!"
I have to be honest, and I will admit. I was actually very curious before re-watching the film because I do know for a fact that "Man of Steel" has a very huge division when it comes to billions of people's reactions. There are fans of the character who loved it, while others were very disappointed or ended up hating it. In addition, there might be some people who are in the middle of the enormous gap of everybody's opinions. What are my feelings about this one? The answer to that question will be........................It was a fun and entertaining movie for what it was trying to be, but I can totally see the reasonings on why so many people still have problems with it.
Back when it was released in June 2013, it was the very first Superman movie I ever watched because I did not grew up with the original films with Christopher Reeve as the iconic hero back then. It was definitely a great time at the theater because I got to experience Superman for the first time on the silver screen. As I walked out of the film with my father, I began to realize that it was that time where I get to know the character of Superman of how he was created, and what the S on his chest stands for. I strongly believe that the letter gives the audience a sign that someone will always be out there to prevent any dangers that will most likely threaten our planet, Earth.
As of today, Batman v Superman stands at a 34% on Rotten Tomatoes. Ouch! But, on a positive note, I will go into the film with an open mind. That review probably won't be up until next weekend! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that one!
