Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 ★★★★★

With so much anticipation and excitement flowing rapidly through my pumpin' heart and brain, I was so pumped out of my freakin' mind for Volume 2, but at the same time, I was still asking myself this one serious question: "Will this sequel be better than the first one?" Allow me to think about this one. Hold on!

Let me tell you guys something. I ADORED GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2 SO MUCH!!! I might be super crazy when I say this since I'm already a Marvel fanboy, but I just had an absolute balls-to-the-walls blast at the theaters today. It just might be better than the first one. Here's why!

Back in 2014, Guardians of the Galaxy 1 was Marvel's hugest risk when into making the film because they were feeling so many worries if the unknown team of superheroes and its own universe will turn into an unexpected, but serviceable entry in the MCU canon. But then, it took the whole world by storm surprising many comic book fans including myself because James Gunn perfectly captured the faithful source material from the comics and translated them to the silver screen.

Upon a re-watch today, I still loved the first movie as a whole and was wondering what the sequel can do going on. After the film was over, I was going pretty nuts saying that it was superior than the first film in every single possible way. When I was driving home from theater, the fun factor was starting to take over my brain and I was still thinking to myself on how much fun I had in the theater with one of my good friends.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has to be one of the most fun theater experiences I've ever had in a very long time. I laughed. I jumped for the joy for all the great moments. I sometimes cried. Volume 2 gave me everything I wanted in an epic space opera adventure with one of my favorite misfits teaming up to become part in a BIGGER and BADDER sequel that somehow managed to top its predecessor. I know I've been crazy for a while now, but I'm just being brutally honest on how I judge films as a form of artwork while also being injected with entertainment values movie-goers always wanted in a movie like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2!

I really do believe that James Gunn has already outdone himself with quite possibly my 2nd favorite film of the year with Logan being King of 2017 thus far! Until the year, 2020 comes along, BRING IT ON, VOLUME 3!!!
