Not perfect, but as close to perfect as we're ever gonna get. I never thought I'd see the story of Fred Hampton handled so maturely, so delicately, and with such humanity. Shaka King is an amazing director. The performances of Lakeith Stanfield, Daniel Kaluuya, and Jesse Plemons are career defining. I love how the "Messiah" story is deconstructed and analyzed by the film, and at the end of the day, this movie isn't really all that political. It's a human story, and one that needs to be told.
