  • Doctor Who: Shada

    Doctor Who: Shada

    ★★★

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

I watched the version from Doctor Who: The Collection: Season 17, which it calls 'Shada: The Definitive Version' including the Tom Baker Introduction.

The introduction is nice, just seeing Tom being Tom is the reason I'd call all of his episodes (or at least the ones I've seen) enjoyable. Any excuse to see more Tom is a good excuse. I'd argue Tom could easily pull off a Heaven Sent like story where it's just him. Maybe expand him in the…

  • Doctor Who: The Horns of Nimon

Doctor Who: The Horns of Nimon

    ★★★

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Can't help but feel that the Ball of Yarn from the Creature from the Pit was foreshadowing of this story.

Romana once again proves that she has the best fashion sense of any companion.

The Doctor and K9 saying goodbye is such a beautiful moment even if neither of them die.

"Well, it's been a great, great partnership, old girl."
    - The Doctor (4) to the TARDIS

    "Master."
    - K-9

"Oh, come on, K9. This is no time for emotional…

  • Doctor Who: The Creature from the Pit

Doctor Who: The Creature from the Pit

    ★★★

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

    Why K-9 sound like that?

Doctor Who has such a rich history of species that resemble cacti.

They let Romana and K-9 go on a killing spree only to fucking CUM on K-9 at the end of it!

This observation certainly isn't helped by the... Design... Of the titular Creature from the Pit...

Rant about NMD's (Not My Doctors (People who think that the 13th Doctor is too 'woke' simply for being a woman)) that doesn't really have anything to…

  • Doctor Who: Destiny of the Daleks

Doctor Who: Destiny of the Daleks

    ★★★

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

"If you're supposed to be the superior race of the universe, why don't you try climbing after us?"
    - The Doctor (4)

Romana doesn't really seem to care that much about regenerating, huh.

Reading the TARDIS Wiki as to why reveals there are multiple contradicting accounts of why this is, my favourite being that the TARDIS got jealous of her being the Doctor's companion, replaced Romana, and after realising their mistake helps her regenerate for real so that the real…

  • Doctor Who: The Armageddon Factor

    Doctor Who: The Armageddon Factor

    ★★★

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

An alright story to end an alright season.

    *Doctor walks into frame*
    *Comical Music Begins*

They probably should've just played a laugh track as well.

The way K9 phrases meeting another AI makes it sound like we're about to meet K10.

They Dormammued the Marshal and Mentalis' asses.

So many Time Lords in this story. The Doctor (Obviously), Romana, Drax, the illusions of the Doctor and Romana, and Princess Astra's actor goes on to play Romana!

    While this story is…

  • Doctor Who: The Power of Kroll

Doctor Who: The Power of Kroll

    ★★★

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Why Tom's hat get shot so often?

Bring back Doctors having hats so they can bring back the "Actually they shot my hat" gotcha. That and hats are just cool

I didn't realize Tom could make those sounds.

    THEY HENTAIED TOM!!!!!

Sad to see this story end the way most of my days do...

  • Doctor Who: The Androids of Tara

Doctor Who: The Androids of Tara

    ★★★

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

"Women fear me. Fish want me."
    - The Doctor probably

The Doctor's swordfight could have used some more music and probably shouldn't have focused on that one guy's face as much as it did but it good otherwise.

K9 in his wee boat. Where will he go?

Also, Is it weird to say that Prince Reynart kinda reminds me of Freddie Mercury?

  • Doctor Who: The Stones of Blood

Doctor Who: The Stones of Blood

    ★★★

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

"Romana, I don't care about the Key to Time, I'm gonna investigate a cult."
    - Basically the Doctor

The murder K9, that was pretty sad.

    "Objection!"
    - The Doctor (4)

I love it when the Doctor suddenly goes to court. Being an Ace Attorney fan really destroys your ability to watch anything law related. There's even a character called Miss Fay!

    "Objection!"
    - The Doctor (4) (Yes, he says it twice)

I used to think that Ace Attorney was making up lawyers shouting 'objection' in court, but if Doctor Who says so, it must be true!

  • Doctor Who: The Pirate Planet

    Doctor Who: The Pirate Planet

    ★★★

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

I feel that I don't have anything to really say about this story other than I quite like the premise, though it probably would've been more fun if the Pirate Planet had more Cyborg Pirates on it or if they were at war with a planet they were plundering, rather than just mining an uninhabited planet.

The first episode feels like people ignoring the Doctor, though I do love K9 spinning on the spot.

I like how they solved the…

  • Doctor Who: The Ribos Operation

    Doctor Who: The Ribos Operation

    ★★★

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

    "My name is Romanadvoratrelundar."
    - Romanadvoratrelundar

"I'm so sorry about that. Is there anything we can do?"
    - The Doctor (4)

"I'm sorry to hear that" is the best response you can say to anything, and I love that the Doctor agrees with me.

    "759."
    - Romanadvoratrelundar

    "756. That's not old, it's just mature."
    - The Doctor (4)

    "You've lost count somewhere."
    - Romanadvoratrelundar

"Well I ought to know my own age!"
    - The Doctor (4)

    YAY!!!! More conflicting information…

  • Doctor Who: The Moonbase

    Doctor Who: The Moonbase

    ★★★

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

My first full Troughton Era story.

Except, not really since episodes 1 & 3 are audio only...

I have the same criticism as I did with the last audio only episodes I watched.

Mainly that the plot is harder to follow given that I can't see what's happening.

Though, if I can say something positive about episode 1 being audio only, it would be that it probably makes the opening of episode 2 more shocking.

During this episode we learn that…

  • Doctor Who: The Ark

    Doctor Who: The Ark

    ★★★

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Hate having seen later Doctor Who episodes! Literally the only things I can think about during this episode are the Ark in Space and the End of the World.

The Ark in Space for obvious reasons and the End of the World since this episode mentions the sun destroying the Earth.

"We only know them as intelligences that inhabit that planet. They might have a way of assuming human bodies, of using them to pass, to mingle amongst us."
