I watched the 2019 Recreation, which can be found Here: youtu.be/NW8yk-m5Ig8

Pretty good recreation, if this wasn't a YouTube video, I'd believe it was the original thing.

Shocking that the first Doctor-Lite story was done back in Season 3 and wasn't tried again until Love and Monsters in Series 2.

While the story isn't anything special, it's a nice short watch and the only context you need is that the Dalek Invasion of Earth is a story that exists.

I Watched the Reconstruction on the Aztec Special Edition (Mainly Still Images with the occasional animation and Episode 3 in it's entirety)

The still images and animation were fine up until episode 4 where the recreation is rather poor. Mainly during Action scenes, especially when the Drahvin destroys the Chumbley. Aside from that, this story is quite enjoyable.

And I do love that the Doctor and Co show up, call the machines "Chumblies" and start correcting people when they call them machines.

A really moving film that almost made me tear up.

Easily one of, if not the best, thing to come out of the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who. (Rivalled only by Paul McGann's Mini Episode and the 50th Special Itself)

I wanted to leave watching this until I had seen the Tenth Planet, but instead I watched it after the Time Meddler. However, I doubt this impacted my enjoyment of the film nor would it anyone else's. I'd recommend anyone who's even just familiar with Doctor Who watch this.

"That is the dematerialising control, and that over yonder is the horizontal hold. Up there is the scanner, those are the doors, that is a chair with a panda on it... Sheer poetry, dear boy! Now, please, stop bothering me!"
    - The Doctor (1)

Love that the Doctor and Co trying to convince a new companion that they're time Travelers only ends up helping the villain.

The Monk and the Doctor have a great dynamic and he's probably the best…

Shocking that they were hinting at Bradley Walsh being in Doctor Who 43 years before he played The Pied Piper/Elijah Spellman/Odd Bob the Clown in the Sarah Jane Adventures and 53 years before he played Graham O'Brien during Series 11 & 12.

Love that the last episode ends and this episode starts with the Daleks declaring they're hot on the Doctor's trail, only for the next couple of minutes to be the TARDIS Team watching Time TV.

    ★★★½

The First episode is a really interesting start for the story and the following 3 episodes are just good fun.

    Highlights Include:
    Everything involving that Dalek.
    Ian biting a cardigan.
The Doctor messing with his captors.
    And Vicki arming the proletariat.

(Watched Episodes 2 & 4 with Audio Only due to the visuals being lost.
Episodes 1 & 3 were watched with both audio and visuals.)

This is my first Classic Who story that I've watched with some parts only having audio, though I have seen some Big Finish Audiodramas before this.

The plot becomes a lot harder to follow without visuals especially near the end of episode 2 since there appears to be a scene without any dialogue.

    If I watched this…

    Big ants.

Aside from Vicki insulting 1960s medicine, Ian's tie getting destroyed and the Doctor getting cumed on, this story is a quite boring.

This story seems like Hartnell at his most fun, at least so far.

Nice to see the TARDIS Team actually get to enjoy a trip, instead of immediately becoming involved in a conspiracy that could destroy an entire civilisation, since we learn that they've spent a month in the Roman Empire before they get involved in a conspiracy to destroy Rome.

Barbara and Ian's Side of the Plot:

While I'm rather sad to see Susan go, I think that I'm enjoying the group more without her.
We no longer have to deal with the Doctor treating her like a child and instead we get a sad scene where the Doctor calls on Susan, followed by a moment of silence.

I think I'm going to enjoy the new team dynamic with Vicki replacing Susan.

    Sandy deserved better though...
