The truly greatest Anti-Christmas movie. A stew of movie love filled with the ingredients of humor and horror mixed with nostalgia. Recalling the first time I had seen this film, I never anticipated what transpired as it unfolded ... it's a mean cartoon of a movie, but so much fun. Best of all is the All American Mom's kitchen defense against the menacing monsters utilizing a meat grinder, a knife and a microwave and the department store showdown between the hero and the Gremlin villain. And love Dante's throwaway moment when the town's reigning evil queen of commerce meets her end with a final wink from a portrait of Edward Arnold on the wall of her mansion.
This is a great maniacal movie melee on materialism.
