Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness ★★★★½

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is a satisfyingly (wait for it) strange entry into the MCU, with director Sam Raimi and writer Michael Waldron bringing in all sorts of new concepts and storylines that effectively sold me on the new multiverse direction this franchise is barreling toward. I like that amidst all the chaos and cameos, there's still plenty of heart, humor, character moments, and creativity flowing through the once ragtag studio's movies, and they continue to put out most of the cream of the crop when it comes to the superhero genre. The thing I love most about this movie, though, is just how dark and weird it's allowed to be; all the moments that went full Evil Dead were just incredible, and this gets pretty damn gross at times, which made me very happy. This movie just really goes to show that Marvel has really done it; they can make something so out of the norm like this, but still manage to make it feel like it fits in the puzzle, while also giving it a unique voice and personality. It's just so damn cool, and even though there are probably a lot of things I could nitpick in it, I just don't want to, because I had a great time. Maybe that makes me a bad critic, but I don't care, this was awesome. 9/10
