Gabrielle’s review published on Letterboxd:
Extremely well directed, powerful performances that are the soul and heart of the film - specially from Mahershala Ali (criminally under used), beautiful photography and score, but the script didn't seem to dive in completely into the complexity of these characters' feelings, mostly because there wasn't enough time. This is shown as the story of a lifetime, yet it didn't feel like a lifetime to me, rather it felt like small, select bits of a lifetime that couldn't by themselves explore this story to its full potential. The movie isn't even two hours long, it should've been way longer than that. It's a good, competent movie, but in the end it's no better than the regular Oscar bait film.
