Starring Wendy Hiller

Primarily a stage actress, Wendy Hiller made her film debut in Henry Cass's LANCASHIRE LUCK in which she played the daughter of actor George Carney, who would play her father again in one of her most beloved films, Powell and Pressburger's I KNOW WHERE I'M GOING!. After LANCASHIRE LUCK, George Bernard Shaw convinced her to star in PYGMALION alongside Leslie Howard. From here on out, while she would remain primarily on the stage, she continued to make memorable screen appearances late into her life, including in David Lynch's THE ELEPHANT MAN.
