In my dreams I can walk. My legs are strong. In my dreams I am the Wizard Master.
Shut up, dork. Objectively this might be the best of the series. I prefer Dream Master, but this is right there. It's essentially a direct sequel to the first movie, which makes sense since Part 2 is nonsense. This features Freddy with some of his best makeup and still being scary. He still cracks jokes, but it's not as ridiculous so he still has menace. There's also a tremendous amount of creativity in the film with some really fun dream sequences and deaths. There's the Freddy snake, the marionette, the television, etc. It's tons of fun and I like the concept of the Dream Warriors which includes the cheesy but awesome Dokken song.
If I had to nitpick some of the acting isn't the greatest. I'm sure Heather Langenkamp is a nice person, but she's not very good. That said, it doesn't matter that much in a slasher movie and the cast is generally very likeable with Kincaid being my favourite. Definitely one of the standout 80's slashers. What a rush.
