I really like it when animals eat people in movies.
This movie is really fun. Dick Maas clearly had a blast making this. It’s a sorta half slasher/half 80s cop film about a scuba-suit wearing madman terrorizing the canals of Amsterdam.
The film has great pacing. I really enjoyed the murky, 80s grain aesthetics of it. And there’s great speed boat chase at the end. Definitely worth checking out, and it’s streaming on Shudder.

Yellow Springs is a strange place. I’ve lived about 20 minutes away from it my entire life, and while it can make for an enjoyable afternoon, a lot of the people who live there are very difficult to be around. These are people that live in a bubble, and when they try to tell you how to live your life, they often forget about the fact we don’t all live in their magic bubble too.
