if you look at this more like a sci-fi thriller than a horror movie, i feel like it’s entirely more effective. the beginning felt slow for me & it just kinda had me waiting for something that felt truly horror??? also a case of tonal whiplash was present here….. i wish it would’ve focused on being fully camp over switching between v serious and some camp. apparently there’s an r rated version of this somewhere and i’m gonna need that to see the light of day bc i think i’d enjoy it a lot more LOL. but i won’t sit here and say i didn’t have my fair share of laughs and fun with some parts. there’s one scene in particular that literally still has me giggling just thinking abt it skdksksk
