An amazing story with the most ruthless depiction of greed ever captured on screen.
Sergio Leone’s final film (and first in the gangster genre) is a spectacle in terms of its story scale and beautiful period piece set design. Every shot and moment carries so much purpose with it as the story progresses that the runtime goes by relatively unnoticed. Ennio Moricone’ incredible score elevates the scene practically any time it’s used.
