    I'm so glad this was my first TMNT film (or tv or graphic novel). Excellent casting (Summer of Ayo!), incredible score and soundtrack, super cool animation, and I was entertained. Lots of throwaway lines that were quick witted. I'm even glad that the mid-credits stinger implies a sequel is in the works.

    Considering I was contemplating boycotting anymore super hero films, I'm glad I gave this one a chance.

    I went to this with high expectations because of its 95% on RT, written and directed by women, Ayo!, and well, lesbians. That is actually all I knew about the film other than it was a comedy.

    Sadly, as the film went on I started to feel that rather than subvert high school movie tropes it was doubly down on them. So much so that it ending with my least favorite totally overused one which even in a far better…
