I greatly respect this movie but I can’t swear I liked it, particularly because of how straightforward the underlying plot ends up being—nothing deviates from what you expect, even if there are some rip-roaring scenes along the way. Maybe my expectations were too high—or maybe I need to accept that “dirty white people with swords” is just not a place my brain activates, be it movies, TV, comics, or prose. 

Loved Bjork though.
