I could barely maintain any interest in what was going on in this movie.
What should have been a B-story in one single episode of Keifer Sutherland's 24, comprising a guest star plot which takes up maybe 20 minutes of the episode is a drawn out big 'who cares' of a movie.
This may be Nicolas Cages worst movie. He's fine in it, but the entire rest of the movie is a waste of time.

I didn't read the book. I didn't watch the director's cut. I haven't watched The Shining in years. My childhood WAS The Shining.
Now... as a sequel to The Shining, I felt it was okay...but I've seen TV shows with better acting, characterization and story.
I guess it works, I believed it... but it felt like the villains were portrayed as sympathetic to an extent that is puzzling, meanwhile, Danny Torrence is portrayed…
