I loved it but needed to piss the whole time which detracted from my experience as I spent the whole movie deciding on if or if not I should leave to piss but I didn't wanna squeeze between people to get there and come back again. Also the movies so damn good! Had no clue what happened but adored it nonetheless

Elaine May is such a legend, this is my first exposure to her directorial work (have seen and loved her performances in Woody Allen’s “Small Time Crooks” & “Crisis in Six Scenes”) and I’m in total awe at her talent with writing and directing in a way I rarely feel with most filmmakers, having only previously seen her acting work. Really beautiful film with so much care put into it, although didn’t impact me as much emotionally as when I last watched it years ago and was like 14 or 15 lol - some parts drag a little, but you really can’t help but admire and respect everything that went into making this as well as the end result - the production stories alone are legendary!
