Will Steele’s review published on Letterboxd:
At the end of the day, we are all Anton Ego. Too often we let out cynicism jade us from the wondrous energy of art. We ignore the sheer passion invested in ventures which yield only mediocre results. Yet it can be something so earnestly simple that reminds us we needn’t always seek complex beauties. Simple heartfelt artistry can resonate louder than all else. Whether it be a peasants dish or an animated family film, the simple honest elegance of lovingly made things can melt our cynical hearts leaving only guileless awe for the world.
