• Black Adam

    Black Adam

Pretty much what you'd expect from a DCEU film, generic story we've seen before (Shazam), forgettable acting & plot and uninventive action!

  • Asteroid City

    Asteroid City

Despite its a-list cast and beautiful cinematography which you'd expect from a Wes Anderson film, I really just didn't find myself invested in its characters or story. Maybe one that needs to be rewatched in the future!

  • The Holdovers

    The Holdovers

Charming and equally emotional. The Holdovers and its main trio starts off a bit down in the dumps and slowly becomes a wholesome story!

  • True Lies

    True Lies

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis would never have been an on screen couple in my mind, but it really works as he lives his secret spy life and she works at an office before becoming wrapped up in it all.

Off course Schwarzenegger can easily portray a spy with all the great action sequences.

I loved Tia Carrere as one of the protagonists whilst Bill Paxton adds a little bit of comedy.

  • Miss Congeniality

    Miss Congeniality

I had to honestly check the release date for this film several times, Sandra Bullock just does not age. It's not wonder she was cast to not only play a bagasse detective which she does so well but to be placed in a beauty pagent.

It's a fun film with a great cast, however, outright predictable and with a typically 2000s love story.

  • Past Lives

    Past Lives

A beautiful story about love that was just never meant to be.

Greta Lee and Teo Yoo as the two leads who navigate their relationship, emigration, language barriers and culture differences manage to want you to root for them but also to leave you (like they do) to accept that it was not in their fate.

  • Dark Phoenix

    Dark Phoenix

With the Xmen '97 and Deadpool & Wolverine trailers it got me in the mood for some x-men, this was the last in the series I had yet to watch...

I didn't exactly have high hopes since I knew it was panned by critics and viewers alike.

It's just boring at best, by this point the X-Men are all just the same in every movie with hardly any character development and a majority of them are just throw away side characters.…

Absolutely dumb at times, but just good fun! Just what I'd expect from an Adam Sandler film!

  • Spirited Away

    Spirited Away

I think I've finally found an Anime I like!!! Beautify animated and a story just as beautiful.

Hayao Miyazaki's filmography is now on my watchlist!

  • The Iron Claw

    The Iron Claw

I'm not at all familiar with any wrestling history, as such I went in blind with the real story, a truly tragic one. The set of brothers falling to their fathers pressures to do what he couldn't.

All well acted, shot beautifully and will leave you feeling pretty sombre.

  • Flashdance

Just an all round fun film with romance and dancing!

  • Fast Times at Ridgemont High

    Fast Times at Ridgemont High

I couldn't help but hate most of the people in this film (mainly the guys!), especially Sean Penns stupid stoner character. That took away any enjoyment I could take from this, nor was it particularly funny.
