Sex Monsters, Rape Revenge, and Trauma - ways movies have affected me as someone with PTSD

This is a personal project of mine to try and examine how I've used horror films to explore my own traumas. I spend a lot of time seeking out movies that portray women with mental illnesses or rape victims or what have you because I often find pieces of myself in those stories. Kier-La Janisse's book, House of Psychotic Women was a blessing to me, because her story and her relationship to horror films were something I could relate to so fiercely.
