  Martin Scorsese is the greatest American filmmaker of the last half-century (and it’s not very close). The ruthlessly constant measure of pedigree that this man has functioned at is astonishing. I can only hope Killers of the Flower Moon contains the same self-reflexive, haunting deconstruction of the American-mythologies, the foundations of our thoughts and perspectives of supposed factual history. 

  You gotta be really special to remain constantly transgressive, and yet mainstream, for 50 years straight… Scorsese is the guy!

  modern horror classic? i think so.

  camp is a lost art. those that still delve are exorcised for it. james wan has gone fuck it, and made the silliest, most batshit crazy film possible with his aquaman pay check, and i fucking love him for it.

  argento + raimi + cronenberg + hooper. i could go on. AND YET, you can tell this is by the same man behind saw.

  i have not had this much fun with a film in months. serious cinema. more like this please.

  This should be essential viewing in schools. Who gives a fuck if the 13 year olds are traumatised, get them on this.
