2 things I never thought would happen in an X-Men movie
a) Me getting kinda teary watching one
b) The films even glancing at the Onslaught story from the comics
The fact that this film does both (admitedly I could be reaching with regards to Onslaught) is really impressive, especially because I really am generally cool towards the X-Men films in general.
Stewart and Jackman are absolutely fantastic. Stewart in particular brings a sympathetic shade to the character that McAvoy's Professor X kind of lacks. Some of his scenes in the movie are absolutely heartbreaking. Jackman just COMMITS to this movie, there's a physicality and just general brokenness to Logan that I really was not expecting.
