Spencer’s review published on Letterboxd:
Obviously it's one of the most iconic horror movies ever made, one of which defined the entire genre, but I couldn't help but feel like I missed something by the time the credits rolled. This is one of the most acclaimed horror films ever made and I only "kinda liked" it, which came as a surprise to me. There is no doubt I'll be checking it out again because I totally know I missed something on this initial viewing. The camerawork is absolutely incredible, really sets this film apart from other small budget horror movies. The score is obviously amazing, everyone knows it regardless of seeing the movie or not. The story is okay, but it's still enjoyable to watch everything play out.
Like I said, I'm going to give this another watch eventually, maybe around Halloween time to get a much better experience.
