    men in cages 2020 ✨

    (tw: mention of sexual assault)
hard to feel anything but unadulterated disdain—MUCH less care or interest—for this man after watching him commit atrocity after atrocity, including (but certainly not limited to) two violent rapes. sir your name is NOODLES you and your buddy egg salad sandwich can sit the hell down.

even in general, the film never says or does anything interesting enough to justify the agonizingly long runtime. every single woman and girl exists…

my official review of tenet!! :)

so it starts off [BWAAAAAAAAAAAAM BWAAAAAAAAAAAAM], which i think was a really interesting choice. the characte[*TRAIN WHISTLE SCREEEEEEEEEEEECHES*], which is a whole other complex discussion. then there’s the [BANGBANGBANGBANG. SHOOTYSHOOTYMCSHOOTY] it’s because it’s a fixed point so the timeline is all [BLAMBLAMBLAMBLAMBLAM] preconceived notion of a strict progression from cause to effect, moreso like [BOOMBOOMBOOMBOOMBOOM] which MEANS [BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM] basically a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey...stuff.

...and i think that about explains it!!

i have complained a lot lately about how long movies are nowadays. don’t get me wrong; i love a nice, long film when it’s warranted, but slogging through 2+ hours with every single new release has been exhausting. i’ve been dying for a nice <90 minute type deal for a while now.

…but i could have easily watched 2 more hours of this. i can’t win lmao. bring back soft and quaint movies!!
