Women Talking

Women Talking ★★★★

Forgiveness can be mistaken for permission

What a deeply heavy yet important film, I enjoyed this a lot. I was hooked throughout and could have listened to these women talking for 5 more hours. While the premise was fairly simple, the acting and music were incredible and really helped elevate the film. Every performance felt important and everyone shined in their own special way no matter their screentime. This has to be one of the best acting ensembles of the year no question. And of course, the score by Hildur Guðnadóttir was provoking and effective. Sad they did not nominate for best score at the Oscars, it could have easily gotten in over The Fablemans or The Banshees of Inishirn. Go watch this if you haven't already.
