Marcel the Shell with Shoes On 2021
When the movie started there was a moment when I thought to myself, “can I take this for an hour and a half?” Yes I actually could! It’s a beautiful, simple story about family, loss, and living your life to the fullest.

Men 2022
An absolute abomination. No movie has made me feel this shitty about being a woman in a long time. And before you say that I didn’t get it, my disdain for this film primarily stems from the complete disregard for Harper as a character. Additionally, for all of the nature and mythical imagery in this, I wanted to scream at Alex Garland that misogyny isn’t woven into the fabric of nature. It was created by men, for men and he just did his part.

All About Eve 1950
The script is a diamond. Addison DeWitt (scary, I know) also nicely summarizes the feeling I have of searching for a good film and the lightning bolt that hits my heart once in a blue moon when I watch a perfect one, “I’ve lived in the theater as a Trappist monk lives in his faith. I have no other world, no other life. And once in a great while I experience that moment of revelation of which all true believers wait and pray.“
