The 8 Diagram Pole Fighter has some beautiful fight choreography that feels more like a dance than an actual fight in the best way possible. The stunts are extraordinary and everyone in the cast has a moment to showcase their skills. This film understands that old people are scary
The idea of flipping the genre trope of sex gets you killed is really interesting and is executed really well. To me the slasher element just came into the film a bit too late and the payoff felt rushed. I would probably be more forgiving of that because of the smart commentary on genre if It Follows hadn’t of a very similar thing much better back in 2014.
