THAT piano piece man. i can’t believe we get to watch films at the same time that kogonada is making them, a true miracle

  • When You Finish Saving the World

When You Finish Saving the World

decent enough as a family drama but a great film about impostor syndrome and the imposition of living life through others. definitely not for everyone, but cool stuff jesse

  • Scream

    welcome to act three!
can’t say i didnt feel craven’s absence on the directorial end but this absolutely rips regardless. the kills in this thing are insane and live up to the legacy the franchise carved. safe to say this is the only horror franchise where i genuinely like every installment! also, jack quaid MVP. dude is an absolute star

The Worst Person in the World

what a beautiful film. feels like a memory in all the ways that we don’t want to remember, but bursting with so much life that it reminds you that its okay. completely swept me away.

I don’t have anyone that i can talk to, the way i used to talk to you

  • The Matrix Resurrections

    The Matrix Resurrections

probably the angriest and most to the point film ever made about love and compassion and i can’t believe for the life of me that it exists. super heartbreaking and yet extremely hopeful? the matrix is lana wachowski’s twin peaks and she’s allowed to do whatever she wants with it, the rest of us are just along for the ride

    Licorice Pizza

there’s so much to like about this but as many have said, i feel like the age gap is a massive elephant in the room that kept me from fully getting invested. i would like to see this again because theres so much great here and i think PTA is one of the great directors of all time, i just felt cold by the end of this one

    i don’t rate everything i see but it doesn’t feel fair to…

  • Hawkeye

a cute enough and fun enough diversion, wish this was better as a whole because i feel like every time it gets off the ground it goes back to the floor within minutes but i’ll take all the kate bishop and yelena belova content i can get

  • Spider-Man: No Way Home

    Spider-Man: No Way Home

    the power of the sun….
what a powerhouse. certainly a film i won’t forget, that cements its place in history. tears were shed and memories were made. peter parker is my favorite character of all time and this succeeds on all fronts as the greatest peter parker story ever told….

and it is SO nice to experience a movie like this opening night in a crowd again.

  • West Side Story

    West Side Story

spielberg taught me everything i knew about filmmaking when i was a young kid and sparked my love for the art form, and he just cranked out another classic this far into his career. king shit.

  • House of Gucci

    House of Gucci

disjointed but nice throwback to when big prestige oscar movies could be a ton of messy fun. awards season isnt complete without a european cover of an old pop song needle drop

  • Ghostbusters: Afterlife

    Ghostbusters: Afterlife

epic rap battles of history still the only people to successfully reboot this franchise

All Too Well: The Short Film

you said if we had been closer in age maybe it would be fine, and that made me want to die
