Jesus christ. Moonlight is one of the greatest cinematic experiences I have ever seen. The acting was top-notch. Mahershala Ali and Naomie Harris better get nominations at the Oscars for their roles in this. The script is easily among the best scripts ever written. Every line of dialogue from each character feels so real. The editing is so fastpaced and genius. The cinematography looks so gritty and realistic. The aesthetic is stunning. The score is masterful. This film has the greatest emotional resonance of any film ever. You truly care about Chiron and all of his troubles. In short, this is one of the best films I have ever seen in my life, the best of the year, and one of, if not the best film of the 21st Century.
