i mean.... ed sheeran says (and everyone seems to agree) that he's the best songwriter in the world and only the beatles could beat him.... i'm not a beatles fan nor a ed's hater, but c'mon... there's plenty fish in the sea. also he is his own ringtone, so that says something about where they were going with his character.

this is just completely racist with white savior sprinkles on top.
a story about good white people who saw black savages, that could be civilised by them, as a way in to saving their village. plus, throughout the movie, we see a bunch of stereotypes for black people: loud, hyper sexualized men with strong muscular bodies and frown scary faces, savages, in need. i could go on, but i don't think is worth more of my time.
