Sofa Sinema’s review published on Letterboxd:
Clive Barker apparently hates the clergy even more than Stephen King does. Apparently, Barker also hated this mega cheesy adaptation of one of his short stories and it pushed him into making his own films. For me, this was first class B movie fodder and one of the goriest "man in rubber suit flicks" I've seen. Rawhead wages unholy terror on the folks in this Irish village and demonstrates a healthy distaste for femininity. Likeable and charming performances from the Irish locals, especially by the core family and little Cora Lunny as Minty. 8.8/10
