    Dune: Part Two



    Despite inarguably the most disrespectful moviegoers of my life who definitely hampered my iMax experience (RANT at bottom if you want to read because I am #BigMAD), Dune Part 2 is a masterpiece and a triumph of an adaptation. See this one on the big screen! You will see things you have never seen before and be in awe by the trembles in your seat.

    Denis Villeneuve does a great job honoring Herbert’s novel while adding plenty of spice…

    Though I continue to love the way Paul Greengrass shows Bourne’s tactical prowess with the directing style and set pieces. And Matt Damon’s performance ofc 

    There’s nothing else here. Van Lustbader and Freeman wrote tons of spin-offs that were at least somewhat inspired and tied to Ludlum’s  vision—they should have used those instead of a somewhat insulting plot.

    It pains me to dislike this film. But the reality is the documentary arrives at the Palace after 26 minutes and 6 seconds of background information about the Pacers' players. Inexcusable. Almost half of the documentary. This documentary is about the event itself and the effect on the participants' careers.

    Unbalanced. Would have loved to hear from Coach Larry Brown, who angrily ordered Pistons fans to leave after the brawl started, or Chauncey or Rip Hamilton. I would have liked…
