One of my favourites. It’s just iconic!

The atmosphere. The quotes. The messaging. The characters. The theme song. Even the font is iconic!

John Hughes did so well with this movie and I think we definitely underestimate him as a writer and director.

It’s just as much fun as the first. But this time, we’re in New York! With snow and Tim Curry and more iconic lines.

There’s just something about it that is not as good as the first. But it’s still great to watch at Christmastime!

The chemistry between the characters and the action were the best elements of the film. I LOVE Florence Pugh even more! The villain was a great threat, but he didn’t have much of an appearance and didn’t feel exciting enough in some moments. Also is it just me that thought the CGI in those final action sequences was a bit off?

Anyway, it is still an enjoyable MCU film. I love that it was directed by a woman, and had so many more female characters than male characters - which is rare in an MCU film, let alone an action film.

    WOW!

This film just oozes pain and unrequited love and longing and what could have been.

The colours are vivid and bold, but at the same time subtle and symbolic. There is more intensity in what they don’t do. And that’s why I think we cling onto the most intimate moments they have - from making eye contact as they pass each other on the stairs to holding hands in the taxi.

What I love about this movie - and…
