Grabbed the 4K copy at Target for $13!
Loved every minute of it. It has been beautifully remastered in 4K and looks slick. Always dug this film anyway but the colors just pop now.

They call them “the Daniels” Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert and this is their 2nd full film after Swiss Army Man, which I was Luke warm on. This however is a home run! I am just going to write down words and they will make sense once you watch this amazing piece of art:
Tax audit. Dildos. Googly Eyes. Everything bagel. Skills. Security Guards. BDSM. Kung-Fu. Multidimensional. Rocks. Lesbians. Laundromat. Fanny pack. Family. Raccoon. Movie Star. Hibachi Chef. And Hot…

Texas, and it’s 1979 and a group of young filmmakers and actresses set out to make a porn movie in a desolate farm house owned by a creepy old couple. Unfortunately and horrifically the group has to fight for their lives. In the first hour there’s just a slight creepiness and some anxiety ridden moments otherwise not much but story building. To me it feels like a film about the loss of innocence, sexual freedom, and age making us feel…

In eighteenth-century Spain, A mute jailers daughter is raped (not shown) by an old jailed crazy beggar then dies in child birth on Christmas Day which is bad luck. The child is adopted and raised by a nearby family that housed the pregnant woman. The young boy somehow becomes a werewolf.
The little kid who plays the werewolf is creepy AF. The family keeps bars on his window and gives him love which cures him…for a while. Leon falls in…

This time around we get a more dirty NYC looking Gotham city where the Riddler is more of a technically Internet based terrorist with shades of a sadistic, twisted villain like the movies Saw and Se7en. He is torturing Gotham‘s justice system elite and leaving notes and riddles for the Batman. To me this Batman feels more like the detective graphic novel style Batman which I love. He is very brooding, very matter-of-fact, and an ass kicker who gets his…

Continuing the 4K rewatch of the entire MCU run. Still love this one. It’s also a really fun coming of age story intertwined with all the cool superhero stuff.  The writing is great too. Michael Keaton was such a great bad guy trying to justify being the martyr.
