i think this might unequivocally be the greatest film of all time. this is a once-in-a-lifetime piece of high-concept theological art that malick has been basically waiting his entire life for, which is pretty obvious considering the final product. the shots malick manages to pull off here are ridiculous, like absolutely staggering. this dude is absolutely nuts and i cannot believe he's still making films, but i don't think it's possible for this film to ever be outdone.
