• The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

    The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

Glad i waited til now to see this. I honestly like how long every scene is, specifically the part where all the dwarves show up at Bilbo’s house and the part with Gollum. Each sequence develops at the pace of a victory lap, fittingly. It’s kind of comforting!

Also the smoothness of the 48fps is noticeable, even on cable TV, but it’s fine. Would have been so distracting to me in 2012, but now every netflix original looks like that.

Don’t know if or when i’ll watch the other two

I do get a little emotional when the winner is announced. This movie is a blessing

  • No Country for Old Men

    No Country for Old Men

Fargo, Texas. Some of my favorite line readings:

“We can’t give out no in-formation”

    “It’s got two double beds!”

“You know how many people i know in El Paso, Texas? *makes zero with hand* That’s how many”

“That depends - do you see me?”

“And I knew that whenever i got there, he’d be there. Then I woke up.” 🥰

  • Titanic

First time watch. It’s incredible and there’s so much i could say about it. The scene where they actually hit the iceberg really stood out to me. It’s so quiet and surreal, people don’t know how to react, the digital effects are simple and uncanny. It’s the moment we’re all dreading, only Jack and Rose don’t realize; they get to enjoy the fantasy a little while longer. It’s just another magical moment for them.

“If you jump, I jump, right?” Holy shit lmao they’re so hot

Wanted to watch 20 minutes of garbage before bed. Definitely not gonna finish this

  • Fred Claus

    Fred Claus

I don’t like the way this movie depicts elves. John Michael Higgins is badly miscast to begin with, and they make his voice too high. Also the movie isn’t that good

  • Just Friends

    Just Friends

The thing about this movie is that i’ve seen it a bunch of times and still find it funny. I think i’ve been afraid to revisit it for a number of different reasons, and i can’t say i got anything new out of it this time around. But at least now i can confidently give it 3.5 stars and say here what i’ve always known to be true: Just Friends is a good christmas movie. Maybe one of the best of the 21st century? I mean how many good ones are there really?

  • The Muppet Christmas Carol

    The Muppet Christmas Carol

Never seen this before! Very pleasant. Reminded me of Babe (in a good way, obviously). I did indeed spontaneously tear up the second it dawns on Beaker’s dumb face to give Scrooge his scarf. Beautiful, cinema

  • Nightcrawler

Does not hold up. Jake is doing way too much. Riz is great though

Laughed like a big goofy dumbass throughout.

My dad was a huge fan of this movie back in the blockbuster days. It was good then and it’s good now. Score goes very hard!
