"When the sunshine don't work, the good Lord bring the rain in."

A film that continues to blow my mind with it's orginality, creativity and emotional depth. The run time of just over 3 hours long flies by. The great soundtrack doesn't hurt.

Seemingly wildly disparate stories are masterfully woven together in a bold rumination on loneliness, trauma, regret and loss. Also, the plain reality of a life lived and the possibility of divine intervention. I don't know why this…

"You cannot negotiate with gravity. One day, one day you should just cash out."

Elemental. Captivating. Emotional. Gritty as hell. Gorgeous. A masterpiece.

A decent political thriller with a believable, important premise, but lacks a certain magic. Also, the ending pulls it's punches and the film loses momentum and weight as a result.

I think the performances from Affleck and Crowe are interesting enough to check this out, but both have given better to other roles.  Affleck is well suited to playing a senator and he should tee it up again some day.

The ending credits are obviously a love letter to…

I have watched this many times.  Prior to my first viewing, I had only seen Jamie Dornan in television - Once Upon A Time and The Fall. Cillian Murphy was already a force to be reckoned with in my mind. Both actors are great in this, and Dornan holding his own with Mr. Murphy in 2016 is impressive. I would love to see them team up again in future projects.

Anthropoid is well made, looks gorgeous and apparently the Irish…

Simply a blast. Been waiting for Black Widow / Scarlett to get her due for too long.

    Quick Thoughts:
    • I loved the opening credits - including the cover song. Great.
    • I actually enjoyed the slow build of the first act.
    • Florence Pugh is amazing - looking forward to her future in the MCU.
    • Rachel Weisz!
    • Scarlett should have had 3 solo movies as Black Widow.

A bit of a mess, but enjoyable enough to see Washington and Wahlberg together.  Throw in a little Paula Patton, Edward James Olmos, James Marsden and Bill Paxton and, it's not too bad.

I remember being excited to see this, and a little let down by it - expecting so much from the main stars - but if you can let go of that and just go along with crazy story, it will be okay.
