Finally got around to seeing this for the first time. This was definitely a very strange film considering when it was made. And thats not a bad thing. I didn't know that it was supposed to be funny. I assumed that it was going to be a dark drama. Dustin Hoffman was great as the insanely awkward Benjamin Braddock. I feel this character and his Rain Man role are almost the same. I had a blast watching this with my mother on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Lately my mom has been recommending some good movies. I understand now why The Graduate is an important piece of American cinema.
