The Exorcist: Believer 2023
David Gordon Green and company do not understand The Exorcist. Shocking I know. What was originally a story questioning the existence of good and evil and about a mother's love for her daughter persevering is now a hackneyed, chopped up, basic ass Blumhouse horror movie. In which the main thesis is literally just a COEXIST bumper sticker. Clever.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors 1987
Builds upon that foundation of generational torment birthed from the sins of the previous generation cursing the youth in the first one. A scathing indictment of the American Mental Healthcare system under a conservative government. In which this ensemble continuously pleads to be heard and understood only to be met with condescension and indifference. Suicide is an inevitability under this system and even the supposed good actors in it show their ineptitude, declaring it as cowardice.

They used to arrest people for jerking it in porno theaters but now the current cultural phenomenon is a bunch of fucking morons ejaculating over things they recognize and cgi necromancy. Somehow worse than expected. Should've trusted my gut. Should've listened to my friend when he said not to take those free tickets.
