"Dead by dawn!"
If The Evil Dead was the dark and disturbing depressive episode of this franchise, Evil Dead II is the manic thrill ride that never sleeps. It's bouncing off the walls, it's flipping tables, it's all over the place (in a good way). Sam Raimi returns with what might be the most exciting horror film ever made. The comedic edge found in Evil Dead II also proves to be beneficial, as the self-awareness makes it feel whole. Some horror movies use silence to put off a creepy vibe, while this movie uses silence so your heart rate can finally slow down. Essential viewing.
