Dare I say this is wildly over-rated? Yes.
I watched this a few years ago, and it's safe to say that I thought exactly the same thing about this film as I do tonight. Slow plotting, too many characters, confusing exposition, cringey 80s jazz/sci-fi music and a lot of pretention. The only good thing about this is the visual style (exceptional) and Rutger Hauer's performance (although he should definitely be in it more).
And really, who cares whether Deckard's a replicant or not? I certainly don't...
