Silversaxophone’s review published on Letterboxd:
The whole Apocalypse Now /Heart of Darkness riff summons forth some cool visuals — giant sunsets, napalmed Jungle — but it gives this block of pulp cheese an overly serious tone, at times. And naming Tom Hiddleston's character 'Conrad' is one reference too many. It's mostly enjoyable nonsense which fits comfortably into the Kong tradition borrowing, as it does, from Son of Kong, Peter Jackson's bloated, though erratically effective remake of the original, and Japanese kaiju movies. Its derivative nature is its charm.
