absolutely phenomenal!!! i’ve always loved denis villeneuves slow burn style of filmmaking and it works so so so well for this type of science fiction film. this was amazing and maybe even perfect on a technical front to a point where i’d gasp noticing the sound design or whatever. there’s shots of this which made me so upset that more blockbusters don’t look as expensive as they are, like all of the money was on screen! and choices were made…

this is literally just a gay romcom but they wouldn’t have let karan johar do that in 2012 … but i know the truth. there is no wonder why i was obsessed with this when i was 10 it’s so gay
edit: i was a little buzzed when i wrote this but i need to mention it’s so fucking funny how they portray high school in this movie. nothing about this movie makes sense !!! the only tangible aspect of this movie is the gay love story
