  Production value was through the roof and Joaquin did a good job - but he was definitely miscast

  Napoleon was in his 20s-30s during most of his major accomplishments, Joaquin is 50. Also the movie didn’t really show his ambition or his military/political genius, it was just focused on his marriage with Josephine (which is still important but definitely a side factor).
