• The Color of Pomegranates

    The Color of Pomegranates

Probably one of the most visually striking films ive watched. I liked the use of breaking fourth wall, how there was often just one angle which made scenes look like moving photographs or a theatre play. Colour combos were immaculate!!!
There’s lots of animal cruelty tho :( I personally dont think animals should be killed or hurt for the sake of art. I’d rather have humans sufferrr

  • Great Expectations

    Great Expectations

I watched this when i was quite young after reading the book and been meaning to watch it again for a while.

Interesting modern play on the original novel.

  • Mulholland Drive

    Mulholland Drive

Been meaning to watch this for a long asss time. Im glad my ex who strongly recommended this film, didnt give out any spoilers because i went into this movie with very little info and expectation which I think helped me enjoy the film more!
At first I thought a lot of the acting were bad but kinda got used to it after a while and also Naomi Watt’s acting gets progressively better i reckon…
    It’s overall a bit of…

  • Shakedown

Oiiii butch lesbian stripper is unheard of 🦋 Interesting doco and I applaud the director to be able to capture all of that! It was filmed and edited v rough style so sometimes i’d lose focus but overall it’s a gem 💎. Apparently porn hub streams this movie now as well tehe

Throw Away Your Books, Rally in the Streets

The strong colours is probably one of the obvious things to like about this movie and also enjoyed monologues breaking the fourth wall. I really liked the scene towards the end where they show close ups of the actors one by one in one shot! People’s faces look really interesting that close up. I enjoyed the photography like angles, collage like scenery etc. Really liked the boxing scene in the beginning and the smokey shower scene and how they’d show…

Astonishing film ! Very skilled and genius

  • Breathless

    다 보고나니 마음이 싱숭생숭하네…
개인적으로 어렸을 때 살았던 동네랑 비슷하게 생긴 동내가 배경이어서 굉장히 추억돋음

  • Fitzcarraldo

Mainly watched it waiting for the infamous ship moving scene that got people injured, which was actually hectic. Can’t believe he made people do that. Herzog is crazy! This film would’ve been a fucking nightmare to shoot! I can see why people wanted to kill each other at some point while shooting this.

I actually quite liked how the speaking and the mouthing didn’t match a lot of the times, there’s something calming about that. Lots of beautiful scenes in…

  • Stroszek

Funny and quirky movie! I didn’t expect it to be this funny especially when i couldnt find the movie w English subtitles but the humour still came through.
I can see how this film inspired Harmony Korine. I found the plot line okay but maybe if i had subtitles I would’ve found it more interesting. Bruno has a unique  acting style! It had some interesting shots (eg. the old man who was obsessed with animal magnetism) and I loved…

  • Dorohedoro

taaaaake me there and i will never return <3

  • Girl, Interrupted

    Girl, Interrupted

Hard to give stars as i liked it but didnt love it but obviously it wasn’t shit either. Overall id say i feel positive about it ! Also rare to see a cool movie w all female casts !
I liked how they transitioned scenes, I think that was because the book didnt tell the story in a linear way so they tried to emulate that maybe.
Brittany Murphy’s role was so intense idk how someone can survive after playing a role like that.
