That's my uncle Tony. The guy I went to hell for.

I can't put into words how much The Sopranos means to me, or how much I love it, so I won't even try. Thus, it pains me to say that this highly anticipated movie turned out to be a massive letdown.

First of all, association with The Sopranos hurt this movie, because it seems split between two things: telling a crime story set in a specific time in Newark…

This is my 4th watch since this came out. I didn't plan to watch it so frequently, despite loving it a lot, but there was always one reason or another that made me check it out. This time it was because I just read the novelization, so I wanted to see this while the book was fresh in my mind.

I think it is safe to say that this is one of the most expensive pieces of fan fiction ever…

I wanted a dose of Holofcener after The Last Duel. And this one has a lot of actresses that I love: does-nothing-wrong-ever Frances McD, reigning indie darling Catherine Keener, perennially underrated Joan Cusack, and Rachel.

The movie is fine, I was expecting a bit more from this group of people. It's about a very specific socio-economic strata and it's not particularly insightful about money and the gap it creates between friends, or long term relationships which is the other focus…

I had no idea this was a very horny R-rated rom com that had Can't take my eyes off you in the first five minutes and is inspired by Pride & Prejudice. I would have seen this much sooner had I known that.

Extremely sweet in that charming rom-com way, even if there is that occasional fall into corniness, sugary sentimentality, but not overbearingly so. Definitely falls into the "good" bucket of 1990s and 2000s rom-com boom.

    Ostensibly it's a very…

Dane DeHaan. This kid has a bright future, if he keeps making good choices. I didn't think anything could make me want to see The Amazing Spider Man 2, but now I am looking forward to it due to DeHaan's presence.

Anywho, he is not the only star of the movie. A rendition of the origins of Beat Era, this has a who's who of literary names: Allen Ginsberg (who takes the centre stage here with a tremendous performance from…

I am gonna be honest. I didn't have high expectations from this movie. I thought this would be a weepy, sentimental and sappy drama, with a couple of strong performances. Not my cup of tea. Instead, it turned out to be a thoughtful, emotional, if somewhat a little weepy, but highly touchy dramedy, with two performances that definitely elevate this based-on-facts story.Β
