quite the visual and auditory marvel. left wanting more but the pacing was great in my opinion an leads me to believe with future installations it could be a legendary experience to consume in one sitting. if we don't get a part 2 i will take my own life for sure so at this point my life is in warner bros hands. love that little freak chalamet

weak predictable ending ruins an otherwise crafty and creative movie

  • Dead Man

few movies have a vibe as unique as this one. felt like the bong rips i had during it were sent by the director himself. the soundtrack perfectly compliments and lulls you along the journey like you are watching another mans dream. amber heard is a monster.

    Gremlins 2: The New Batch

this is actually one of the best movies ever made. jam packed with witty classic banter. this is a movie that defines cinema

"I know you've never let anyone down, but now you got to."

Maybe not the score the movie really deserves but I found a lot to love in this one. It's like kind of dated but also kind of modern much like the people the film itself is about. Mann does a particularly good job capturing the dark side of supposed "good" people throughout this.

  • Midnight Mass

    Midnight Mass

    addendum/edit to my previous review.

    *puts down bong*

hamish linklater is the only person important to this show. everyone else could have been replaced with another person and you could have gotten the same performance out of them that you did here. hamish acted while everyone else played a part.

well, i actually ended up watching this one. it's impossible to watch this show and not just really start to focus by the end how inhumanly stupid and willfully dumb…

  • V/H/S/94

the last short is in my opinion the best short in the entire VHS series. love watching stuff where you can just tell the people involved love the genre, valiant efforts across the board

  • Blackhat

definitely my least favorite mann. the script is so convoluted and talks to you like you are an expert of forensic computers. i think half of the 2 hours is spent watching people watch screens or sheets of paper. 3 and a half stars because i am happy michael enjoyed his trip to china

my favorite part was all the 15-30 minute breaks in between 10 minutes of stuff. glad i paid money for it this time

  • The Night House

    The Night House

the best part of this movie is the lead performance of rebecca hall, she delivered a unique take on grief imo and I was struck by the power of her delivery in several scenes.

a lot of attention to detail in the setting up of scenes, both in the front and background. but then when her phone CLEARLY doesn't charge over night and then is suddenly full battery in the next scene despite the fact she has NOOOOOOT been in…
