Eraserhead is incredibly difficult to dissect, possibly even more so than most Lynch films. It's challenging to put thoughts into words since there are so many possible interpretations of the dark, psychological horror on display. It's mystical, completely distinct, and many people may regard it as meaningless, but I completely disagree.

Arguably Wes Anderson’s most profound work to date. A nihilistic dismemberment of traditions and a soulful exploration of art forms. As usual with Wes’ work, the production design is jaw-dropping, and it’s full of powerful imagery. A depiction of the dangers that come with having an authoritarian grip on not only your children, but also your loved ones, in the most abstract and depraved way. In addition, the film makes explicit allusion to Greece's military right-wing rule of the time. It ultimately rejects clear-cut explanations and drives you right into the deep end. I'm still puzzled by much of it, but it's something I'll think about further. Surprisingly, I'd like to watch it again to pick up on the details that I've inevitably missed. Double feature with 'Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom' for ultimate discomfort!

The perfect depiction of the fine boundary between figment and the real world: illusion or reality? I've noticed that many people need and seek answers after watching any Lynch film, but who cares? If you had a good time, that's all that matters. This is my fourth watch, and I'm still piecing it together. Maybe certain segments are just the protagonist's imagination, but maybe they aren't...you decide.

In the case of Lost Highway, the dream sequences could easily be described…
